Water Safety

Water safety in your home
Keeping your water and taps in good condition is essential to keep you and your family healthy. Bacteria can build up in pipes and shower heads for instance and needs to be kept fresh and clean. These are the things you can do to keep your water systems clean:
- Run your taps for around 5 minutes to clear out the system every 3 months, or if used less frequently, every month. This will help flush out excess bacteria.
- Flush your toilet twice to empty the cistern if you have been away for over a week. This refreshes the sitting water in the cistern.
- Clean and de-scale the outside of your showerheads every 3 months
